The Mystery of Speedrunning

There are some moments in the history of speedrunning where like something will happen in the game that is completely unexpected. Famously, the extra coin in TikTok Clock in Mario 64 was a huge mystery turned out to be a like faulty bit in the actual processor of the person recording the video. This has happened in the original Legends though that I know and people will try and dissect that moment to try and figure out what exactly triggered this behavior. There's a series of arcane inputs you can point the game to parts of its coding that are not you're not going to sort of randomly access unless you kind of know to go and dig for it.
