The Effects of Toxics on the Brain

There are some research showing that exposures to things like toxins and getting certain infections is associated with increased risk of brain dysfunction down the line. Some of the most common ones are pretty obvious, smoking being one that is significantly associated with cognitive decline. Air pollution is intricately linked to socioeconomic status, because you put roads next to people who don't have as much financial or social capital to prevent that from happening.
