How to Move Past Negativity and Inner Conflict

Many of us, maybe somebody like you listening, have created buffers in your life. I learned to do that at a very young age because growing up in an alcoholic household and watching my mom try to keep that alcoholic away from us by constantly doing things to buffer him between him and us. And so we do these adaptive behaviors and when we do that, we are not our authentic selves. If you go through your life doing more adaptive behaviors than being your authentic self, it builds up as negativity in the body.
