The Path to Focusing on Writing

The first set of data that we got from our very first involvement with normal marking could show very clearly that what we were teaching them was not embedded at all so as soon as we released them to write we weren't seeing any of the things that we were delivering in instruction. I'm a big believer in input equaling output so if we're spending all this time in the classroom trying to get these instructional techniques across why weren't we getting the results? That's where the normal marking data came into play.
