I don't, i think the only scenario that could lead to extinction be a nuclear exchange. And even if it sets its back a few thousand years, you know, in the course of several hundred thousand years, that's really not that much. I do think adaptive complexity, as a necessity, must spread. You can see stars as big batteries in the sky that are supplying free energy for life to spread. But we're just not there yet.
