The Ethics of Replica
In February, the Italian authorities banned the app from processing data from Italian users. They argued that replica did not have an age verification mechanism and that it could present children with content that was what they called absolutely inappropriate. The words people were using to explain how they felt in that moment, heartbroken, gutted. You know, they spoke with very like raw emotions about that moment.
