How to Switch From Benzodiazepines to Rexin Drugs
I would certainly favor a very gradual withdrawal process no matter which medication we're thinking of taking the patient off of. So I think slowly going downwards on the z-drug and at the same time introducing the rexin receptor antagonist may be the way to go. The other way of course is to introduce cognitive behavioral therapy. He's been shown to be effective for diminishing the use of the hypnotic medication.
