The Role of Values in Knowledge Claims

There are widespread epistemic values that have to do with knowledge claims for instance this claim that something is a valid argument is itself a normative judgment of what an argument should look like. Hillary Putnam talk about thick ethical concepts or what he calls normative descriptive terms that entangle the both of them and then you know they're often values that are massed as facts so we might want to uncover or there might be bridging notions which are basically if you've agreed to a particular end then you can both objectively and normatively describe the what you should do to achieve that end.
