Nietzsche's Genealogy of Morals
In a passage entitled simply war, number 444 in human onto human, there's so much condensed into that little idea that it almost prefigures the entire genealogy of morals. Nietzsche goes even further in a later section 477 entitled war essential. In this passage, he says that one should not expect much from mankind once it ceases to wage war. The exact opposite of Kant's position and perpetual peace, right? That the pursuit of peace would not drive mankind forward for Freud but stonter development.
