The ones who have it and the ones who tend to win in the competition tend to survive more they tend to be able to provide resources for their young. We're also a social species that needs to cooperate in a lot of situations when you see groups of primates out in the wild we do cooperative things as well. The other thing that we're very good at is nurturing. Now it's true that we mostly nurture our young but sadly the more distant somebody is from us we become less and less nurturing as a general rule. So if we deliberately turn our attention and decide even though I feel all these instincts to show off or get ahead or prove myself or make sure I can think highly of myself
