How to Get Repeated Exposure in Public Speaking?
Public speaking engagements only occur once or twice a quarter for me, not three times a day. I sought opportunities, but the infrequency of exposure has not improved my predicament and maybe even made it worse. So there's no need to be doing repeated exposures, trying to get perfect extinction of the adrenaline response. You need adrenaline for public speaking. What you need is a few times maybe at most of having learned in the moment of the speech to flip the adrenaline around so that rather than experiencing as weighing on you as a burden of anxiety, it becomes a propulsion forward. And then you'll find that soon you won't have anxiety on balconies.
