Self-Compassion Is Really Important
Self-compassion is really important. But we all say to many of us things we would never dream of saying to a friend. You can measure people's levels of self-compassion by looking at their self-criticalness. People with low level of self-criticism are more likely to suffer from depression. So it really does matter to try to be kind to yourself as well. And I think it is worth always saying to yourself when you've got those sort of thoughts going on in your head that are criticizing you, what would I say the same to a friend?
