In 2000, if you liked a product, you could tell the people that were around your town or maybe forward the email to some of your relatives. If you do it right, a million people see your value prop without any person manually doing except for the creation of the information. A lot of people say dark social is just word of mouth. I push back against this because a lot of it is driven through sharing of content and not like me recommending you a product.
