Navigating Emotional Turmoil in the Age of Information

Have you ever got caught in a spiral of comparing your suffering to another person's? Or feeling bad that someone else is suffering and you're not? We've noticed this theme within ourselves, and of course, in the outer reality and it makes us wonder...who is this helping?

Who does it serve to compare our suffering or anyone else's suffering against anothers? By comparing, judging, or feeling guilt around our suffering...we do not alleviate any of the suffering the world experiences. What we've realized through our own lives and this candid conversation is that comparing suffering only adds to and creates more suffering. When we remember what is within our control, exercise self care and preservation, we can then show up more fully to other people's pain and support them instead of carrying their pain.

This episode will challenge the unconscious idea that many of us perpetuate, which is that through suffering...we become "good."
