How to Pre-Race Nutrition

Before a race, riders need to fill up their glycogen stores. The liver is the organ that supplies all organs in the body with glucose. Riders should eat two grams per kilogram of body mass of carbohydrates. If you only have breakfast one hour before, it would be one gram per kilo.
