The Pilot Trial of COVID-19 Hypoxemia
The trial was conducted in the emergency department, medical intensive care unit Vanderbilt. All adults in the medical ICU or in the EDU with plan medical ICU admission were enrolled at the time of the first receipt of invasive mechanical ventilation. We designed pilot as a pragmatic, unblinded, cluster randomized, cluster crossover trial and we'll talk more about that in a minute for which enrollment began on July 1st, 2018.
