Iodine is really important. It gets taken up into the thyroid, and it produces your t for thyroid hormon m which then gets converted to t three by silenium based engimes. You need iodine and silenium for good thyroid healthm and foods that are high in iodine,. unfortunately, we don't get a lot of in the standard american diet. A turkey is a good source. Eggs are a great source. Sea foods like shrimp and mollusks and bivalves and things like that, great sources. Seaweed - i believe kelp is, like i top sources.
