Is There a Paradox in That?
The idea is that you by sort of deliberately, like forcing yourself and constraining yourself to do one thing at a time. It's not about trying to force something with respect to time, so much as it is primarily an act of seeing what is already going on. At any one moment you are attending to one thing, and in, again, with a few specific exceptions, basically that's always the case. If you feel like you're focusing on two things, you're actually just flipping very quickly between them.
