The Importance of Reciprocation in Marketing
In transactional capitalism, there's no reason to give away or sell what you can't actually price. The attitude in which you're most generous with and share ideas has to operate within an implicit assumption of reciprocation. Marketing clients' ability to extract maximal value from the agency is destroyed if there's a procurement person who insists the whole thing takes place on a transactional basis.
