Are You Any Better if You're Looking at the Peak End of the Event?
Laura carsonson's dissertation was a piece of evidence to show that endings do this. They tend to co coincide with age. People extract the peak in the end, and they're not very good at remembering it. We don't ask people about their gratitude - we ask what was the most intense moment? She says positive emotions are difficult to understand but there is some evolutionary reason for them.
