Health and well being is so often very kind of one, if two dimensional. We totally disregard the fact that external stresses have a physiological impact on the body. I think the best way to look at this is through the lens of the stressed response. The stress response in our body is arguly the most important response. It's there to get activated if it feels that we are under threat or vulnerable to attack. If your body feels under threats, actually it switches off your gut function. So if you're eating in a stressed out way, you may have your organic, colorful plate in front of you - anay, i'm not perfect.
