In previous episodes, we've talked about fluency in particular reading comprehension. How can assessment be used to help us support struggling readers? In most primary schools that I've seen at the moment, there is something systematic in place - but only in how it relates to standardized reading comprehension assessments. We need a system that engages with every pupil and does so in a predictable way.
