The Importance of Fever at Home Viral Infection

The American Academy of Pediatrics just released their guideline for the management of February and infants, which also advocates for pro-calsetone. But they made another recommendation that didn't follow any of the prescribed step-by-step PCARN protocols per day. That recommendation was that you could use CRP, ANC, and maximum temperature as a risk stratification strategy. Those combinations have not been tested, so we recently validated that in a large cohort nearly 1,000 infants presenting to Montreal Children's Hospital.
