How to Validate Your Idea for ConvertKit

How did you come up with the idea for ConvertKit? I was trying out this concept called idea extraction that I first heard about from Andy Dresh and Dane Maxwell who run a program called The Foundation. And basically the idea behind it is to pick any business, I don't know, real estate agents, lawyers, accountants, et cetera, and look for these frustrating problems that could be solved by software.
