Reagan: I use spelunky as a bridge between arcade games like vlam beer stuff and michael bro's games. It lets me show them games like probability zero and downwell where those started out with the same design mission was like let's make arcade spelunky but they both approach that broad like one sentence design in totally different ways. i just think it's one of the most mind-blowing things is how simple the procedural generation isn't spelunky becauselike it's so technically simple and it's the best.
