Is Baptism a Mean of Grace?

The initial act of being made alive to god is delivered through baptism. We experience forgiveness of sins by means of the intercession of christ upon repentance as a christian. I don't think it works automatically, and i know neither do you. But to the extent that both sacraments and other means of god's grace are received by faith, we experience all the blessings of the gospel through them.
