How to Measure Your Compensation Plan
The idea of now that you may argue that this isn't revenue, but it's how your compensation plan ties bookings to actual revenue. This could be a leak in commissions where you're paying people for revenue that they never get. And so even though it's on the expense side of it, you're still paying more for a deal that never generates the revenue. It still impacts your contribution margin in your business as a whole.
