The half life of coffee is between six and eight hours, depending upon how quickly a metabolizer you are. So I ask people to stop at two thinking if they're a longer metabolizer, like eight hours, that puts at least 50% of the caffeine out of their system by 10. And then is the effect of alcohol the same even if you've just had one glass? It has a lot to do with your size, your weight, male versus female, metabolism, age, history with alcohol. There's a whole host of different effects.
