It's not evidence-based just to do an endoscopy on every single person that comes with heartburn and or regurgitation. We have to maximize the yield and obviously the cost effectiveness of that specific test. Weight loss plays an important role in discerning which patients should be examined with endoscopy or not. Age also is an important factor. And then one of the important ones is also anemia.
