How to Be Mentally Tough in a Triathlon
The general rule of thumb is every time you're out, every training day, you need to really be focusing five minutes, 10 minutes on applying some skill. So start with the world around you. That's probably what you're like most able to just tap into and not really pay attention to at the same time. And then you shift it to internal, internal, broad. What's going on with me today? Where's my head? What am I thinking about? How am I appraising this effort? Then you narrow that down.
