It's Hard to Be All Things to Everyone

I'm a little cynical about how my company that builds a microsecond ads auction market makes the world a better place or whatever. I actually get pretty sappy when I tell these stories. So I think it's impossible to be all things to everyone. Which means that there are going to be qualified candidates who are not interested in your company. And you have to come to terms with that and just accept that without getting discouraged when they say no.
