How Do You Write Out Your Opening Remarks?

What is it that we can do to help to signal effectively to the person sitting across the table from us that we are actually ready to listen? We talked about asking questions and giving people lots of room to get their perspective out, not trying to box them into a tiny corner in your argument. And also framing those questions in such a way that the default is that they kind of have to answer. You shouldn't be able to write the end of the script before even sitting down at the table.
