i learned this initially when i watched venessa give a speech. And after she gave that speech, i very consciously began using more hand gestures in all my zoom calls and instagram vidios. I'm so intentional about it that for a while, every zoom call i looked like i was trying to land an airplane way over the top. But i've found that she's right. Not only have i noticed more report on my calls when i bring my hands into the conversation, but also, i myself am more engaged because i myself am speaking twice. In fact, as i record this, even though you can't see me, there's no video being captured, i am gestic
