Is Your Training a Catabolic Event?

There's no such thing as a faster slow metabolism, says Calek. Metabolism is just the net sum of the energy that you burn over the course of a day. If fat only converts to energy in a colorically hot environment then it will hoard fat and waste muscle. Your training is not something that changes phys its but breaks down tissue. As athletes we want to create that catabolic event. But then we want to stick a wedge in it and stop it because it's a highly inflammatory event. How does an amateur find the balance?
