How to Pull a Pull-Up

I like to bring my elbows back and closer to my body in the upper part of the pull-up because that way I can't just gain the the final centimeters I need to to be able to pass the chain over over the bar. If you close your hands, you're gonna feel more powerful in the lower part at least that's for me but then if you open more um I don't know you I think the more you open the less powerful you are so try different hand widths  you have to fight the balance between being able to to grind your pull up and being explosive.
