The Role of Anticoagulants in Stroke Prevention

The main direct thrombin inhibitors are gaptor band and bivalroodin. There is one indirect factor 10A inhibitor that would be worth mentioning, which is fonda paradox. Anticoagulants are only really indicated for confirmed atrial fibrillation or for something like a hypercoagulability disorder. The risk benefit for empiric anticoagulation in that population is not favorable.
