The Dismissive Avoidant Attachment Style
The next trait of the dismissive avoidant attachment style is that they have relatively low intimacy needs and they can struggle with commitment. They might not be someone who enjoys sort of holding hands or, you know, touching someone's face. So often a dismissive avoidant is not going to be outwardly expressive of how they're feeling about their partner. And for many avoidant adults, there was a level of avoidance in their carers or they may have had carers with value systems that emotions are a sign of weakness.
