The question then should have been, how are you happy with a 1 in 20 chance to gamble the next 10 years of your life? And six hours a day where you could do anything else that this might be right. It wasn't. Some patients did very well or did very badly. If we extended the intervention longer, I'm not sure how many people would have been exposed to the intervention. The whole question is, has the horse bolted at that stage? Do we just get it wrong? Do we deserve pity?
