The Science of Relationships - I Love You

I think that there is this sort of like heightened intellectualism about some of the works that you've named, right? And your approach and your writing is so accessible. It's a really kind way to say that I'm infinitely dumber than all of those brilliant guys. But no, but but it has merit. Like I was aJournalist who says right for an eighth grade audience. Right. Hemingway held up as one of the finest writers. He didn't string together a bunch of like pseudo intellectual flowery sentences; he just said it in the most efficient way possible.

Yes. And I think that's great because I do think that there is there is this sort of like heightened intellectualism about some of the, you know, the works that you that you've named, right? And your approach and your writing is so accessible and makes so much sense that, you know, I think it is it can be more transformative. Right. I'm not going to read this tome on, you know, the science of relationships, but I'm going to hear this dude talking who sounds like me and feels like me. I can get with that.
Speaker 1
It's a really kind way to say that I'm infinitely dumber than all of those brilliant guys. And people in this space, however, but no, but but it has merit. Like I was a journalist. I was a journalist and they say right for an eighth grade audience. It has power. And Hemingway held up as one of the finest writers. And it was like simplified, simplified, simplified. And like that's why he didn't string together a bunch of like crazy pseudo intellectual flowery sentences. He just said it in the most efficient way possible. I definitely don't do that. I definitely love you. At some level, brevity is not my strong suit. But I really try to say it how we would say it if we were having whiskey together at a bar. And that really does break through for a lot of people, I think particularly guys, if we're going to be stereotyping a little bit, like guys quote unquote like me. Yeah, doesn't mean we're the same dude at all because nobody is, but where they maybe grew up with the same beliefs I had. And then they find themselves having the same conflict patterns with their relationship partner. And then sometimes he or she will discover my work and say, wow, this is exactly like what we were experiencing, and this seems to be a more effective methodology for communicating it to him, then forgive me for implying that my book somehow superior to like, I'm not a gatman or real or any of these guys. It's not better. It's just different and sometimes different to useful because somebody will pay attention to different maybe if they won't pay attention to the career actually smart people
