The Unity of Being

Being isn't one thing at one time and another thing at a later time, because it can't change. Being must be perfect because if it were not, it would lack something that it could have. And in that case, it would contain some kind of non being, namely, the absence of whatever is lacking. The passages i've just discussed represent the corps argument of parmenidess way of truth - which has come down to us pretty much in its entirety.
