The Impact of the Enron Crisis on Clearport
Clearport launched within, I think a year, probably less of the collapse of Enron. The concept had been around for a long time and with Clearpoint, we introduced a whole bunch of new products on top of the benchmarks. We pointed out from a cost perspective that OTC market participants weren't taking into account the true cost of credit. It could have been a good idea that never had its time, but fortunately the two worlds came together.
