How to Do a Fluid Balance Assessment for Training

For training, obviously that's this kind of the straightforward one. You're just trying to work out the fluid deficit. And really you'd only need to do that if rapid rehydration is important or it's a stage race where you want to restore that hydration as best you can for the next stage,. So that's pretty straightforward one. Once you've got that deficits remembering that it's only the deficit, not the total fluid loss, you take 125 to 150% of that and drink that in the first four hours afterwards.
