The Evolution of the Microbiome
Eating fruit throughout the winter when you live at high latitudes may not be as healthy as we think it is. We were hunter gatherers until sort of 12,000 10,000 years ago and that obviously plays a big role in in how we should eat and who we are. Agriculturalists around that time led to us staying in one place a lot more and associating with species much more strongly which gave us opportunity for transmission between those species and us. There's a similar going on with the microbiome in us according to the soil according to the plants that we were eating at in any given place and any given time.
