The Side Projects You're Thinking About Right Now

Social status is at the root of sometimes the biggest mistakes or the dumbest investments, things that we look back in our lives and say, i really wish i wouldn't have done that. Sometimes there are things that we want to do in our life, for our career, that are particularly status heavy. We think they're gong to make us look really good in front of other people. And yet, there are drawbacks, there are costs. There are trade offs that we should consider, that we don't becausethe lure of status, in terms of a psychological or emotional weight, is so big that we just kind of blow over all those things. I call that status malfunction
