The workouts of elite and advanced athletes are not always transferable down to the intermediate or beginner athletes. So hey, maybe there's a reason that 2x20 is so favored. It does kind of work, and it's certainly an old reliable or something you can always fall back on. And if you're doing correctly, know that you're going to generate at least a decent training stimulus that day.
