Hacking It at Home - What Are Some Guiding Principles for Providing Candidates With Feedback?
For those who are doing this, like hacking it at home, what are some guiding principles that you would give them in terms of what you actually tell people about how they did? The things I would probably say are one, before you do the hiring process, at least do the exercise of figuring out what it is that matters for that role. It'll also mean that you've got yourself a framework to then go back to any candidate that didn't succeed and explain why. And there can be kind of like a subtle difference between telling people that they don't have a skill versus telling them that we'd love to give you a gift.
