How to Negotiate With a Pro
The problem is normally we're negotiating with people who negotiate every day. They've heard probably a lot of the things that you're going to say. But it also works for you in the sense that they are highly incentivized to make a deal. Plus they have direct understanding of where they can go. It kind of goes back to a metaphor I use a lot in terms of poker. The poker player doesn't know what they're doing all over the place. And just doing crazy stuff because they don't know any better.
