Is AI a Tool for Thinking?

I think really we have always thought like maps are a very powerful tools for thought. I was on their first press tour 25 years ago. In another couple of weeks it will be December and it will actually be a quarter century that I've been feeding one mind map. One of my observations from doing so is that whenever I add something to this map, which I do probably 50 times a day,. It throws me into system two thinking from Kahneman's book thinking fast and slow. And there's lots of different things that AI, ML could be doing.
