A study by Christopher webber found that even though our food system accounts for a huge amount of our impact on the environment, it doesn't necessarily have a great deal of effect. Transportation is really only about seven % of the graenos gas footprint associated with the overall average american diet. The energy used in the transportation of food represents a relatively trivial amount of the overall energy used.
