i think of the academic profession as a sort of something in between a profession and an art but sometimes i feel a libit like ofan, part of my job is the job of an artist, not my entire job. I've often had conversation with postos telling me, you know, science is no longer what it used to be, i would never have the freedom that you have had. And solly, moving to cambridge has given me a freedom that i i don't know how many places still give tat freedom,. But maybe this is something that one adevelops over time.
